Early Intervention/Prevention

Finding out that you or someone you love has scoliosis can be a scary diagnosis.  It in fact changes your life.  We want you to know that you are not alone.  Our office is dedicated to educating you on this condition and helping you find a program that works best for you.

The traditional recommendation for a mild scoliosis is to observe or ‘watch and wait.’  Unfortunately the condition won’t stop on its own and it absolutely won’t reverse.  One fact remains the same that all big curves have started off as small ones.  The method of ‘watching and waiting’ delays precious time and opportunity to stop curve progression.  The earlier scoliosis is detected and treated, the more manageable it can be.  This is the time to be pro-active with the condition rather than re-active once it progresses.

New testing can help show possible progression of scoliosis.  The SCOLISCORE Test helps provide information to help aid in creating an appropriate treatment protocol for the individual.  To see if you or your family member is eligible to take the SCOLISCORE Test, go to www.scolioscore.com for more information.

We are now seeing that both patients and researchers agree that we need a better system. Our office follows the CLEAR™ Institute protocols designed to not only stabilize the scoliosis but may even attain considerable scoliosis reduction.  Our office is currently the only office on Long Island that specializes in the CLEARTM Institute method of scoliosis treatment.
